As the installation team leader, my main responsibly is to develop and encourage the team. By setting up a Facebook group, I am able to ensure that ideas are flowing and tasks are being met as the group share their thoughts and ideas on the Facebook group wall.
Research into interior and merchandising trends is crucial to the look and feel of the event. My team and myself have started to collate visuals and ideas from Trend websites such as WGSN and Trend bible and editorials such as Elle decoration and creative spaces. As an H&M employee, I have access to the merchandising books and have contacts within the store that could ultimately help with the Installation process.

*Team Worker*
After taking a series of personality tests by Dr Meredith Belbin and Myers Briggs, my 'team role' fell under 'team worker' and my type was 'INTP'. 'A 'team worker' contribution is co-operative, mild, perceptive and diplomatic. Listens, builds and avoids friction (I can't says that's always true as I like to speak my mind). We provide support and make sure the team is working together. Although we are good at working within a team, we can sometimes be indecisive in crunch situations.' I agree with Belbin's identification, I feel it sums up my personal responsibilities when working within a team. 'INTP' (Introversion characteristics + intuition + thinking + perceiving = 'Logical, original, creative thinkers').

Brucciani Images

For this project, we were given the task to promote a Preston based non fashion retailer through stylish images that reflect the company and evoke customer interest. Working within a group of four, my team and myself were asked to promote Bruccianis, a nostalgic style cafe in the heart of Preston through a series of stylish images that will ultimately be part of an exhibition in March. As the interior of the cafe was 1940's themed, we decided to create a set of vintage lifestyle images that reflected the cafes style and character.
Above are a few samples... do you think they reflect the 1940's?

Promoting Preston
As an extension of the 'Promoting a Preston retailer' project, we have been asked as a class to organised an exhibition to showcase our work to the public. As individuals, We had to brain storm and collate any networks/contributions we could bring to the planning the event process. After brain storming, I found that I had PR and Marketing contacts that I made whilst on industrial placement at Flannels Fashion as well as friends in the music/cooking industry.
